Carly and Douglas are diligent about reminding me to put more Bags of Grace in the car when we run out. We are down to 2 Bags at the moment, and I told them that we should help assemble them next time. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for this ministry! It is something that our children have been able to grasp from an early age, that some people need our help. In fact I have had to explain to Douglas a couple of times, when he has yelled from his car seat, “Mama! Someone needs help!” that the person is just waiting for a bus! But it is something very tangible that they can participate in.

 

Every year we do Christmas stockings for our extended family, and I try to insert a non-material idea every year. Sometimes it is a charitable donation in the person’s name. Last year, I gave them all Bags of Grace with a note that they could start this tradition in their families and communities (they are mostly from out of town). I can’t tell you how many comments I got this year for such a great idea!
